25 Watt Jimmy Wheel - DIY Kit

$1,350.00

Our most popular product is the 25 Watt Jimmy Wheel.

It will work very well on rural/farm gates from 8-16’ in length where the deepest point from the bottom of your gate to the ground is no more than 1’.

If your gate driveway is deeper than 1’ but no more than 2’, then we recommend the 60 Watt Jimmy Wheel.

In areas where there is high wind activity, a 60 Watt Jimmy Wheel should also be considered.

There are two tyre tread options:

  • Off-road: perfect fro dirt and gravel driveways

  • Semi-slick: usually necessary for tar and fixed stone, rock driveways.

Flat hard driveways made from concrete are usually okay with eirther tread, however semi-slick would be the preferred option.

The arm of the wheel can be ordered in three different lengths, short, medium and long. A long arm can be used on a depth of 1’ or less, a medium, arm on approximately 1/2’ and a short one where the terrain is essentially flat. Choosing a shorter arm for intsllations where it is suitable, is advantageous for minimising the area required for the the wheel to be “parked” when the gate is fully open.

Your final consideration is which side to have the wheel on. For performance, it matters not.
