60 Watt Jimmy Wheel - DIY Kit

$1,550.00

If your driverway is a bit steeper, and/or you are in a windy area, then the 60 Watt Jimmy Wheel might be the best joice for you.

It will work very well on rural/farm gates up to 5 m in length where the deepest point from the bottom of your gate to the ground is no more than 600 mm.

There are two tyre tread options:

  1. Off-road: perfect fro dirt and gravel driveways

  2. Semi-slick: usually necessary for tar and fixed stone, rock driveways.

Flat hard driveways made from concrete are usually okay with eirther tread, however semi-slick would be the preferred option.

The arm of the wheel can be ordered in three different lengths, short, medium and long. A long arm can be used on a depth of 600 mm or less, a medium, arm on approximately 300 mm, and a short one where the terrain is essentially flat. Choosing a shorter arm for intsllations where it is suitable, is advantageous for minimising the area required for the the wheel to be “parked” when the gate is fully open.

Your final consideration is which side to have the wheel on. For performance, it matters not.
